Corry Girls Basketball Head Coach

The Corry girls basketball team faced off against the juggernaut team known as the Cathedral Prep Ramblers on Thursday night in the Beaver Dam. Coming of a big win against North East the night before, Corry had little time to enjoy the win as they got blasted by the talented Ramblers 70-21.

Prep had no problem against the Beavers, going up 24-4 after one quarter of play and 45-13 at the half. With the mercy rule in effect the entire second half of play, Prep cruised to a 70-21 victory.

"We knew going into the game that Prep was loaded with talented players. I was proud of the girls for never giving up. It was a great learning experience for us. Our goal was to get a little better and I believe we did. We got to go out and compete against the best team around." Coach Mumau Said.

Leading the way for Corry was Rylee Nickerson with seven points and 10 rebounds followed by Haley Mumau with six points and four assists. Sadye Dyne had six points, two assists, and two rebounds. Halle Albers had two points and two assists while Regan Kemp had two rebounds and a steal. Reagan Porter had one rebound.
