Middle School Football Head Coach
The Middle School football team traveled to Girard on Wednesday night. On a gorgeous 77 degree evening with a light breeze, Several Beavers carried the ball, resulting in lots of points on the board as the Beavers shellacked the Yellow Jackets with a score of 64-0.
The Beavers had 363 yards of total offense while the defense held Girard to -9 yards of total offense. Jordan Nutt had 82 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns and added two 2-point conversions. Robert Cummings added 71 yards rushing with 2 touchdowns and also threw for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns. Lucas Waychoff had 60 yards receiving with 2 touchdowns and 12 yards rushing. Asher Pillar had 33 yards receiving with 1 touchdown and a two point conversion. Matt Fuller had 29 yards rushing with a touchdown and two 2-point conversions. Bentley Luther had 25 yards receiving, Hunter Donoghue 8 yards receiving, Landon Walizer 25 yards receiving, Eli Bayle 2 yards rushing, and Cole Proper with 9 yards rushing.
Defensively, we had interceptions by Xavier Abeyta, Cole Proper, and Rhemy Kuzma, and fumble recoveries by Brody Nickerson and Cole Proper. "The entire team played very well, and everyone got a lot of snaps. Even with the shutout, there are still some things we need to work on."
