Corry, PA- The Corry volleyball team hosted their final regular season match on Thursday night in the Beaver Dam as they played the Saegertown Panthers in a non-region match. Corry would Flex its muscle early and often as they had the Panthers Scrambling most of the night. Pulling off their tenth straight sweep, Corry knocked off the Panthers 25-10, 25-6, and 25-22.

Early Kills from freshman Ava West, juniors Rylee Nickerson, a pair of kills and a block from Grace Allen, a pair of Aces from junior Regan Kemp and a couple errors from Saegertown gave the Beavers a 10-0 lead and Corry would cruise to a 25-10 win in set one.

The second set was much of the same as Corry would get out to leads of 5-1 and 16-3, before closing out the second set 25-6.

The third set was more competitive as Corry was working in a lot of different players, some of the serve receive fell off at times and Saegertown was able to capitalize on it. Saegertown got out to an 8-4 lead early before the Beavers tied it up at 10-10. The two teams would battle back and for within a couple points of each other until the Beaves got out in front 20-17 forcing the Panthers to call a time out. A kill from Kemp followed by a service error brought the score to 21-18 giving the Panthers an opportunity to tie the match at 21-21. The Beavers would end up closing out the set with a 25-22 win to complete the sweep.

The healthy playoff roster got playing time including the three seniors. Ava Hallberg led the team with 25 assists, Brynley Watrous and Sydney Mineo both had 8 digs and several aces.  The junior class included Regan Kemp who led the team with 10 kills, both Grace Allen and Rylee Nickerson had 9 kills each, and Kendall Donoghue, Ali Yetzer, and Ellie Carey contributed defensively.  Sophomores Naomi Brown and Katrena Downey saw action in the third set, and freshmen Ava West had 5 kills, Maci Kemp had 8 assists, and Jordyn Watrous served key points.
