Corry Lady Beavers Soccer Coach
Wednesday night Corry traveled to Fairview for a non-regional match where Fairview took the win with a score of 1–0.
I told the girls we lost, but we didn’t get beat. Both teams played great and it was back-and-forth the entire match. From the very start of the game it was a 50-50 match between the two. Both teams got a few shot offs, but the defense on both sides played awesome. Our defense has been fantastic for us this year and we have only let in three goals in six games.
We have six girls on rotation playing defense depending on the look the other team gives us. Delaney Nickerson, Mallory Dahlgren, Ellie Curtis, Alli Simmonsen, Tenley Janes and Ava Wetherbee have all contributed to the team success in the back end.
Lindsey Hasbrouck is also having a great first year in net for us as well. These are the types of losses as the coach you’re OK with. I’m as competitive as they come and obviously we want the win, but they gave everything they had last night and we’re proud of them. It felt like the first team to score was going to win and Fairview took advantage of their opportunity with eight minutes left in regulation.
Next up is a home game against Franklin Saturday night at 6:30 PM. Catch the action live on the DeeJ Experience Sports Stream at www.deejexperience.com/corry-beavers
