Russell, PA - Corry Beavers Softball hit the road on Monday for a non-region contest against the Eisenhower Knights. Aside from a few stray rain drops, it was a great day for softball at Werner Park and an even greater day from the Beavers as Corry plated 25 runs routing the Knights 25-9.

Corry wasted little time setting the tone by stringing together three doubles, a walk and capped it off with a Regan Kemp homerun in the top of the first inning to take an early 5-0 lead. Eisenhower would score one run after a leadoff walk and a Beaver miscue to make it a 5-1 game.

Both teams exploded in the second inning. Corry collected eleven runs on a double, seven singles, two walks, two batters being hit, and an Eisenhower Error to take a massive 16-1 lead. There was no quit in the Knights though as they plated seven runs of their own on four singles a walk and an error making the score 16-8 at the end of the second inning.

That was as close as the Knights would come as Corry continued to pound the softball with

hits in every inning. The Beavers scored two runs in the third and added seven more in the fourth inning. Corry held Eisenhower to just one run the rest of the way as the game ended in the fourth inning under the mercy rule.
