Saturday night Corry had a home match against the Franklin Knights where we won 2-1. We found ourselves in familiar territory again as we held possession most of the game and our opponent loaded up on defense.
The two goals tonight came from Freshman Lauren Fox. The first goal she created her own space and found the back of the net and the second goal came from a corner kick by Tenley Janes.
We’ve really improved on some of the errors we were making earlier in the season and are playing more cohesively so that’s nice. Obviously we’d like to get more points on the board, but we are getting shots off and creating opportunities. That also becomes difficult when there’s so many defenders in the box.
The girls are currently 5-1-1 and next up is FLB on Monday night. We will also have our first JV game Monday so that will be nice to have everyone take the field.
